The information entered by individuals into the contact form for e-counseling is treated as strictly confidential in accordance with the provisions of the Personal Data Protection Act – ZVOP-1-UPB1 (Official Gazette of the Republic of Slovenia, No. 94/2007 dated 5.8.2004) and the Amendments to the Personal Data Protection Act – ZVOP-1A (Official Gazette of the Republic of Slovenia, No. 67/2007 dated 27.7.2007).

The data entered by individuals in the form is not accessible to external users and is stored in the online portal system in accordance with the provisions of the Personal Data Protection Act – ZVOP-1-UPB1 (Official Gazette of the Republic of Slovenia, No. 94/2007 dated 5.8.2007) and the Amendments to the Personal Data Protection Act – ZVOP-1A (Official Gazette of the Republic of Slovenia, No. 67/2007 dated 27.7.2007).

After a specified period, all data will be deleted from the database. Statistical data such as gender and type of issue will be used to report on the utilization of counselling services within the Employee Assistance Program, in a manner that does not reveal the individual’s identity.

Use of information outside the website MyEAP

We do not sell, trade, or otherwise transfer your information to third parties on this website. This rule does not apply to third parties who assist in providing service to you or in operating the website and agree to protect your information. Your information may also be shared in cases required by the Code of Psychological Ethics.

Duty to report under article 2.11 of the Code of psychological ethics:

A psychologist may deviate from the obligation to fully protect the data of psychological treatment only in exceptional cases, specifically when, during the counseling process, they acquire information indicating that:

  • the life of the client is endangered,
  • the life of another person is endangered,
  • child abuse or violence is occurring,
  • there is a reasonable likelihood of substantial societal material damage, posing a general risk.

Duty to report under Article 6 of the Domestic violence prevention act:

  1. Authorities, organizations, and non-governmental organizations that learn of circumstances suggesting violence is taking place must immediately notify the social work center, except when the victim expressly opposes it and there is no suspicion of a criminal offense subject to official prosecution.
  2. Everyone, particularly healthcare professionals, staff in childcare, educational, and social institutions, as well as providers of activities for children in sports and cultural associations, regardless of professional confidentiality obligations, must immediately notify the social work center, police, or public prosecutor if they suspect a child or a person unable to care for themselves due to personal circumstances is a victim of violence.

Log information

When accessing the MyEAP website, our servers automatically record information sent by your browser whenever you visit the website. Server logs may include information such as your web request, interaction with the service, browser type, and date and time of your request. IP addresses are not stored in the system.
